Unified patient record from separate clinical systems
Bringing patient data from several clinical systems into one secure platform.
Project overview
This scenario illustrates what we build; it is not a client reference.
This scenario shows how a hospital group can bring scattered patient data (EHR, RIS, LIS) into a single, secure platform. Care staff find information faster, and medical teams can run cross-department clinical analyses.
Client challenges & requirements
A hospital group where patient data is spread across several systems (EHR, RIS, LIS).
Care staff lose time piecing together complete information, the risk of error rises, and no cross-department clinical analysis is possible.
Main objectives
Integrate heterogeneous data sources into a single, secure repository
Implement strict data governance, with compliance rules set with the client and its legal counsel
Reduce the time care staff spend searching for information
Enable clinical analyses for research and care protocol improvement
Project solution
-
Prisma Soft sets up a centralised health data platform. The hosting location and compliance rules are set with the client and its legal counsel. The architecture relies on Azure Synapse Analytics and the HL7/FHIR standard.
-
Dedicated connectors extract and anonymise data from each system. Data cataloging and data quality tools support governance. Teams use Power BI dashboards.
Indicators to track
- Time care staff spend searching for information
- Record completeness rate
- Gaps found in compliance reviews
- Time needed to prepare a cohort study
